BTech graduate held for killing friend
New Delhi: A 28-year-old BTech graduate was arrested for killing his friend in Khajuri Khas area of North-East Delhi. Police said that monetary dispute was the reason behind the murder. The accused was nabbed from Assam.
Police identified the accused as Pranjal Deka. He is unemployed and was involved in a rape case in Assam. On October 25 this year, Khajuri Khas police station received information regarding the body of one who was Amit found at his rented room in Tukmirpur. Spot enquiry revealed that the head of the
deceased was crushed by a brick, and the weapon used for the offence was found lying in the room.
"Investigation revealed that one close friend of the deceased used to visit him at his room frequently," said Ved Prakash Surya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East). Later they nabbed Deka from Guwahati.
The accused told police that he and Amit had studied together at North East Hill University in Shillong, and both have completed their BTech degrees from the same university.
