Buoyed by win in Rajouri Garden bypolls, Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari on Friday claimed that both Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal and Congress led by Ajay Maken have been vehemently rejected by the people.
The analysis of the result of Rajouri Garden Vidhan Sabha by-election shows that it is a situation where both AAP and Congress have lost their stand in Delhi politics.
Tiwari stated that there is a total disenchantment amongst workers of AAP and Congress. Also, on a daily basis, the workers of other two parties are approaching the saffron party in an aim to join them.
"The way Arvind Kejriwal has gone into shell and Ajay Maken is speaking aloud since yesterday's (Thursday's) defeat it shows that Kejriwal is a Hitler who takes responsibility for only success while Ajay Maken is happy to bask in false glory despite knowing the fact that even the people living in his neighborhood don't support him," he said. Also, "The candidate of AAP has lost his security deposit while the Congress candidate has lost not only in the ward she lives in but even on the polling booth where Maken lives," added Tiwari.
According to Tiwari, the allegations leveled in a police complaint by the leaders of Mahila Congress of torture and harassment speaks volume on the Congress culture. "This is more or less similar to the treatment let out by Kejriwal party to their women volunteers," he said. Also, Tiwari condemned the efforts of AAP to find a scapegoat in ex-MLA Jarnail Singh to cover up the total rejection by the masses in Rajouri Garden by-election.
"Ex-MLA Jarnail Singh never resigned at his own will, it was Kejriwal Party's decision to field him in Punjab. It was AAP which fielded him in Punjab, he did not individually quit the party to fight as an independent. Jarnail was Kejriwal's lead face in Punjab.
"Now he is trying to misguide the people by putting up posters with misleading facts like BJP will increase water power rates if it wins MCD polls. Apart from this the posters of asking voters to choose between Arvind Kejriwal and Vijender Gupta too are misleading," added Tiwari.
