Body of missing 18-year-old boy found in Gr Noida

Greater Noida: An 18-year-old boy, who went missing from his home in Omicron area of Greater Noida on Friday morning, was found dead on Monday afternoon, said police.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Krishna Kant, who went missing after police recovered the body of his mother from their house on Friday morning.

39-year-old Manju Yadav was found murdered inside her house in Omicron-II area of Greater Noida on early Friday morning, with the door of the house locked from outside and her two children missing.

The police registered a case of murder against unknown persons and launched an investigation into the case. On Monday afternoon, the dead body of one of the two children was recovered by the police.

"We received information that the body of a teen-aged boy was found lying at a secluded place in Dankaur area following which the police team was rushed to the spot. Upon inquiring, the identity of the deceased was ascertained. The body has been sent for post-mortem," said a senior police official.

Police said that Krishna's 19-year-old sister Priyanka is also missing, said police official.

"We have been conducting search operations to locate the other child. However, we have not been unable to trace her. The investigation is almost complete and we will reveal the details very soon," the officer added.
