Body found at terrace of DLF Mall of India

Noida: The body of a 48-year-old man was found lying at the terrace of DLF Mall of India in sector 18 of Noida on Friday morning.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Bhuvan Chandra Sharma, a native of Sonia Vihar area in Delhi. Cops said that he worked as manager of technical team with PVR cinemas of DLF mall since past six months.

The incident came to light on Friday morning around 10:30 am when one of the mall staffers had gone to the terrace and spotted the body. He immediately alerted others and police were also informed. "Police received information through a PCR call and a team rushed to the spot. The body was found lying at the terrace which was taken into custody and was sent for the post mortem. Mall staffers identified the deceased to be one of the employee with PVR cinemas," said Vineet Jaiswal, superintendent of Police (city), Noida.

Police are yet to ascertain whether it was a suicide or murder but they have found some shoe prints on the boundary of the terrace while a portion of the floor of the terrace was also found broken.

"As of now we are not clear if he died of an accident or someone had killed him. There are injury marks on his body with a severe injury behind his head. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot and we are checking the CCTV footage to get some more information into the case. We are also waiting for the autopsy reports which will help us to ascertain the reason behind death," added Jaiswal.
