BJP undecided on North west seat; Udit Raj disappointed

New Delhi: With the BJP yet to announce its candidate for North West Delhi, its sitting MP Udit Raj, upset over the delay in confirming his ticket, tweeted on Monday that his supporters are eagerly waiting for the party's word on the matter.

In a series of tweets throughout the day, Raj said that he has been trying to contact members of the central leadership of BJP and none have responded.

In one of his tweets, Raj said that despite Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari's continuous assurances that the ticket from North-West will go to him, there has been no word on his candidature from the party leadership.

Raj held a Press conference late at night saying that despite his appeals to the central leadership, a decision has yet to be taken on his candidacy.

He said that senior party leaders like Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh have told him to be patient and that he will give his party the time to take a call. "I will not decide on anything until the party decides," Raj said.
