BJP MP duped of Rs 6 crore
Noida: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MP Ravindra Kishore Sinha was allegedly duped of Rs 6 crore on the pretext of providing him a plot for organic farming.
The MP has lodged an FIR in the Phase III police station of Noida alleging that he was promised a plot near the Yamuna Expressway in Simrethi area of Aligarh by a broker Rajiv Shankar Tiwari who claimed to be the owner of the plot.
However, after the payment was made, it was later found that the plot was not owned by Tiwari.
In the FIR, the MP has said that Tiwari has earlier been jailed in a fraud case in Patna.
As per reports, the victim had purchased the land from accused's company named Pyramid Finmart Pvt Ltd, in Sector 2 Noida but after making a payment of Rs 6 Crore 60 lakhs against the plot, it came to light that the land nowhere belonged to the realty company nor they had any contact with the owner of the land.
"When I came to know that I have been duped, I decided to file a complaint with police," Sinha mentioned in his complaint.
Rajiv, the accused, also went to jail in a cheating with a resident of Bihar in the same manner.
SHO of Phase 3 police station said that on the basis of complaint an FIR has been registered against the accused under the section of 420 (cheating) and 120-B of Indian penal code.
