Aspiring model who orchestrated theft at her house arrested along with friends

She tried to fool her parents and meticulously masterminded a theft in her own house. She thought her two friends would get away after stealing jewellery and money from her house and then she could fulfil her dreams of modelling. However, the Delhi Police were smart enough not to fall in her trap and nabbed her, along with her two associates.

The 19-year-old girl masterminded a theft in her house with the help of two friends in North Delhi's Harsh Vihar. The investigation led cops to probe the girl's role after they got to know about her modelling dreams and her parents' opposition to it.

After her parents' refusal, she hatched a plan to carry out a theft in her own house. She contacted two of her friends, Vikas and Akshay, and asked them to help her and the two agreed.

On April 16, the police received a burglary call from Harsh Vihar. Cops inquired the locals to get a lead and found that the daughter of the complainant had a passion for modelling.

Based on some inputs, cops tracked down Vikas who, during interrogation, revealed that it was the girl's idea to carry out a theft at her house. For this purpose, she had recruited Vikas and Akshay.

On April 16, they firmed up the plan and, accordingly, the girl stole money and gold articles from her house and handed them over to the two boys. All three accused have been arrested and the stolen articles recovered.

"We have arrested the girl, along with her friends Akshay and Vikas, and have recovered Rs 3,08,000, along with five gold bangles, a gold chain, a bracelet, earrings and other stolen items." DCP (North East) Ajit Kumar Singla, said.
