Another Sunday: Delhi's fight to defeat dengue continues, says CM
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday continued his campaign against dengue. Taking to Twitter, the chief minister shared his photos of cleaning stagnant water in his house.
"One more Sunday inspection done this morning. Delhi's fight to defeat Dengue continues. Just 2-3 years ago, who could have imagined Dengue can be defeated?," the Chief Minister tweeted under the "10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute" capmpaign.
Last week, Kejriwal had claimed that dengue cases in the city have come down to half compared to last year.
"Thank Delhiites for their enthusiastic participation in the ongoing Dengue prevention awareness 10 Hafte, 10 Baje, 10 Minute campaign, which is showing excellent results with the Dengue cases down to half in comparison to last year so far," said a statement from the Chief Minister's office.
Last month, Kejriwal had launched a special campaign against dengue by inspecting his home for stagnant water to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.
"My family and I inspected our home today to make sure there is no standing clean water in any part of the house. This is the best way to protect your family from dengue. I am happy to see people across Delhi participate in this campaign. #10Hafte10Baje10Minute," he posted on Twitter.
