Alert passengers help police arrest woman kidnapper in train

GURUGRAM: After being able to kidnap a 1.5-year-old child, 35-year-old Lakshmi would have been successful in selling the child in Kosli had she not been caught in the train in which she was traveling.

The passengers began to suspect due to repeated weeping of the child who also began hitting her. Suspecting that all was not right, the passengers got in touch with the rail police and got the woman arrested.

It was later revealed that the woman, who was residing in the slums of Wazirabad area in Sector-53 had abducted the child identified as Lucky Sharma from the park on March 14.

The parents of the child who have come from Rajasthan were staying in Wazirabad village.

"The child has been reunited with the parents. Alert passengers and the coordination between the police led to this case being a success," said a senior official from Gurugram Police.
