Akash Tomar takes over as Gzb SP (City)

Indian Police Services officer Akash Tomar, has been appointed Ghaziabad's Superintendent of Police, City, as result of a major administrative reshuffle by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath.

The 2013-batch IPS officer said his efforts would be to maintain the high level of service to the people. set by his predecessors. and his priority would be to provide justice to the deprived sections as per the mandate of the present government.

Attending his first press interaction with new Senior Superintendent of Police H N Singh, Tomar said he is taking stock of the nature of crimes being committed in the city so that he could chalk out a strategy of preventive measures.

Tomar has previously served as ADC to Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Additional Superintendent of Police at Kanpur, Bareilly and Jaunpur.
