'Air pollution major factor for strokes'

New Delhi: Medical experts have said that air pollution has become a major factor for strokes in people. According to data, one in four people are have stroke in India, which varies to many factors like stress, diabetes, hypertension and air pollution.

Speaking to Millennium Post, Dr Vipul Gupta, Interventional Neurologist at Atremis Hospital said, "The number of cases in stroke have increased with diabetes and hypertension becoming more common with time. Lifestyle factors such as smoking, lack of exercise, eating habits and even pollution have become a major factor for stroke."
