AIIMS trauma centre likely to resume services in a week

New Delhi: Keeping in view the important role played by Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre (JPNATC), AIIMS, in treatment and care of trauma/accident victims, the administration has taken immediate steps to revive treatment facilities for the inpatients and to provide basic services to outpatients since the time of fire incident which took place on the evening of March 24.

It is expected that the services of IPD and OPD will be expanded within a week's time and normalcy shall be restored at the earliest possible. Emergency services which are currently restricted are expected to restart within a week's time, AIIMS said in a statement.

The emergency department of the hospital witnesses a footfall of an average 250-300 patients per day.
