AIIMS to take over Govt's Child PGI Hospital in Noida

Noida: Soon, the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) is expected to take over the Government's Child PGI Hospital situated in sector 30, Noida, said officials. However, the officials said that they have received no information in written or the expected time within which the needful formalities will be done.
According to Child PGI management, the authorities have written several times to the central government in past few months requesting them to take over the Child PGI Hospital. The first two letters were left unanswered by AIIMS, however a team from AIIMS visited the hospital after the third letter.
"The final decision is expected to come by the New Year. If any such decision is taken by the government, the facilities will surely get enhanced in the hospital. Moreover the senior officials of Child PGI Hospital such as Chief Medical Officer, Director and Finance Officer are expected to get transferred," said a senior official from Child PGI Hospital in Noida. At present, there are 218 employees in the hospital, out of which there are 36 doctors, 116 nurses, 26 technicians, four pharmacist and other staffers.
