Advocate shot at in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: Following a fatal attack on a 23-year-old trainee Advocate at Surajpur court in Greater Noida, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police have registered an FIR against four persons, said police on Tuesday.

Kapil Nagar, a final year law student at a private institute and a law intern was shot at around 6:30pm near the LG roundabout in Greater Noida when he was headed home from the court in his WagonR car on Monday. Nagar lives in Atta Gujran village in Dankaur area of Greater Noida.

"Based on the complaint, we have registered an FIR under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) and other relevant sections against three named persons Bablu, Billu and Amit. Prima facie investigations revealed personal enmity a reason behind the attack on trainee advocate. The three accused in the case are absconding while investigations in the case are on and we are expecting to make a breakthrough soon" said a senior police officer.

Rajeev Tongad, advocate at district court and Nagar's senior, said that Nagar was followed by the men in a car who tried to stop him on his way. As he didn't stop, the assailants opened fire on him.
