Abducted youth rescued in Rohini, one arrested
New Delhi: The Delhi Police PCR unit on Wednesday rescued a 22-year-old person from the clutches of two abductors in Rohini area and arrested one of the accused in the case. Police said that the victim was stabbed by the accused.
According to police in the intervening night of November 12-13 at about 1.08 am , the PCR staff received a call regarding the kidnapping of a person.
Later, the staff met the caller, who stated that on November 12 at about 8:30 pm his brother Sunny had gone to market on his motorcycle.
Later, they received a call from the kidnappers demanding Rs 5,000 for the release of Sunny.Deputy Commissioner of Police (PCR) Sharat Sinha said that the accused directed victim's brother to come at Sector 20 in Rohini with the ransom money.
The PCR staff started searching for Sunny. When they reached near sector 20, they saw the victim's bike in the vicinity of the area where the accused had called the complainant.
"The PCR staff managed to trace the victim in the custody of accused persons in a secluded vacant plot," said DCP PCR.
On seeing the police, the accused tried to escape but one of them was nabbed by the police team. The accused was later identified as Kasim.
"The victim Sunny was found injured having multiple stab wounds and blunt injuries," police said.
The victim told police Kasim and his associate Mohit were known to him and they called him in sector 20, later they brought him near the deserted plot. The accused persons assaulted him and also hit with a brick on his face. They also stabbed him and robbed him of cash about Rs. 4000 as well as his mobile phone.
