AAP, Cong misleading Delhi traders: BJP

NEW DELHI: Delhi BJP on Saturday condemned attempts by Congress and Aam Aadmi Party to obstruct the joint emergency session of the joint three Municipal Corporations called over the issue of sealing.
Addressing a press conference alongside the three Delhi Mayors, Delhi BJP general secretary Kuljeet Singh Chahal said the two parties "do not want to solve the problem of sealing, but only politically mislead Delhi's traders."
Leaders of the three civic bodies Shikha Rai, Jayender Dabas, Santosh Pal and Chairmen of the Standing Committees Tilak Raj Kataria and Bhupender Gupta, Dy. Mayor Vijay Bhagat were also present.
The three Mayors said that during the joint session of the MCDs, a resolution was passed that there should be uniform floor area ratio for buildings in commercial and residential use.
They further said that commercial conversion charges on all properties in Delhi would be recovered only for 10 years and those owners who have already deposited the charge in one lump sum under one time scheme would be exempted from the charge.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari will raise the issue of traders of Delhi in the Budget Session of the Parliament, which starts on January 29.
