9 persons booked for creating ruckus inside Ghaziabad society

Ghaziabad: A security supervisor and a gunman were allegedly thrashed by goons after they denied entry to a non-sticker car inside the Civitech society in Vaishali area of Ghaziabad on Sunday night.

Police have booked nine persons including the Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Gorakhpur and his son in connection with the incident.

According to police, the brawl was triggered on Saturday night when son of the Additional Commissioner tried to enter the society in a non-sticker car along with some of his friends.

Police officials said that the additional commissioner has been identified as A K Singh.

Anirudh Tiwari, security supervisor of the society told Millennium Post that they have been instructed by society's RWA not to allow any vehicle without sticker inside the society. "On Saturday night we spotted a car without sticker and asked them to park the vehicle outside. However, Vikram singh (commissioner's son) came out of his car and started abusing me. He was accompanied by some of his friends who misbehaved with other security guards while Vikram forced himself upon me and dragged me with the collar. He further made an entry into society's register and went inside. While going he threatened me with dire consequences," said Tiwari.

"On Sunday night, nearly seven to eight men along with Vikram Singh came to the society's main gate around 9 pm and started abusing me and gunman, Ashok Kumar. They thrashed us badly and kicked several times. We also tried to run for rescue but they chased us and continued thrashing. However, they fled away after creating a ruckus for nearly half an hour at society's main gate," added Tiwari.

The victims also alleged that the goons snatched their mobile phone and wallet which contained their salaries.

Gunman Ashok Kumar alleged that commissioner A K Singh also accompanied the goons and Singh also thrashed a security personnel and kicked him several times.

Meanwhile police have registered a case under relevant sections of of IPC against the accused persons.

"Following the incident, an FIR against Singh and eight unknown persons under sections 147 (Punishment for rioting) and 347 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of IPC. We have recovered the CCTV footage from the society's gate and are trying to trace the identify other accused as well. We will initiate strict actions against those found responsible for the incident," said Shlok Kumar, Superintendent of Police (city), Ghaziabad.
