65-year-old man killed in Swaroop Nagar

NEW DELHI: A 65-year-old man was brutally murdered by a blunt object in Swaroop Nagar area of Delhi on Tuesday night. The reason for the murder is still unknown.

The assailants have also smashed the face of the victim beyond recognition. The victim was identified as Charan Singh. He was working as a plumber in the area.

Investigation revealed that he was residing with some men and it appears that he was murdered after some argument with a blunt object like an iron rod.

The police received a call on Tuesday night and soon a team was dispatched to the spot. Blood stains were found all over the room where the body was found. It appears that the old man was murdered after he got into an altercation with the men he was drinking alcohol with.

The police is trying to ascertain the cause of murder. The locals in the area are also being questioned to some leads in the murder.

Cops are also scanning the CCTV images around the area to get some clue. The body has been sent for post mortem and investigation is underway.
