55-year-old man kills wife

Gurugram: Estranged relations resulting in brutal murder was again witnessed in Gurugram after a 55-year-old killed his wife by slitting her throat. The gruesome incident occurred at the Badshapur Village when the accused identified as Ram Mehar slit the throat of his 50-year-old wife with a sharp weapon. After the deceased shouted in pain, her son Birender came rushing from another room and witnessed the grisly crime.

However before he could catch his father, the 55-year-old managed to escape. "In an unfortunate incident, the case of husband murdering his wife has come forward to us. We have registered the case under the following sections and begun investigations. We will be able to get hold of the culprit soon and will crack the case," said Ravinder Kumar, spokesperson of Gurugram police.

This is not for the first time when major differences between husband and wife has taken a deadly turn. In February, a 24-year-old woman named Veera was brutally murdered after being hit several times with hammer and axe. Her husband Ashok, who is absconding, is suspected to be behind the murder.
