510 kgs of Marijuana seized from trucks
NEW DELHI: Crime branch has seized 510 kilogram of marijuana which was kept in 17 bags, out of which, 14 bags of marijuana was kept in the special cavity made in the truck and 2 bags of marijuana were kept in Swift Car and 1 bag of marijuana was carried by both the accused persons, when the accused persons were transferring the bags of marijuana from their possession.
As per the accused the special cavity/cache was made in the truck to hide the contraband for the purpose of escaping from the Police.
During interrogation, it is revealed that both accused are previously involved in NDPS cases.
Accused Sube Singh is on bail in case of Faridabad. He was convicted in this case. Accused Sube Singh is a proclaimed offender in another NDPS case of Faridabad. Apart from these cases, he is also involved in three more NDPS Cases. Accused Deepak is also on bail in two NDPS Cases of UP.
According to police accused Sube Singh and Deepak are partners and work for one Dinesh Pal. Sube Singh and Dinesh Pal regularly went to Orissa and Andhra Pradesh by flight.
They bring the contraband from Paidawalasa a place near Orissa and Andra Pradesh border.
They arrange a truck having cavity and load the contraband in it. If the vehicle is checked, at a check post or picket, the contraband is not found visible.
The accused persons purchase the contraband from Orissa and Andra Pradesh border at a very cheap rate and sell the same at higher
prices.
As per the above facts both the accused persons are regularly engaged in supplying of drugs.
"We got information from our network that a truck containing marijuana would be entering Delhi and a special cavity it contains the drugs. He laid a trap and seized the drugs and the accused were arrested," said Ram Gopal Naik, DCP Crime.
