4-year-old's body found in box: Gzb police yet to make any headway

Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad police are yet to make any headway investigating the murder case of a four-year-old boy, whose body was found, stuffed inside a wooden box on the neighbor's terrace on Sunday.
On Monday, the cops said they questioned many people including the locals and relatives of the deceased in connection with the case, while the victim's family suspect the involvement of a close relative in the incident and demanded death penalty for accused. Police have also questioned the two accused, who are out on bail, are were arrested after they made fake ransom calls to the family taking advantage of him went missing.
"We have picked up dozens of suspects and questioned them, but no concrete lead has been found so far. We have also formed teams to investigate the matter covering all the possible leads in the past about the accused, but nothing conclusive has been achieved yet," a senior police officer said.
The partially decomposed body of 4-years-old Mohammad Zaid, who was allegedly abducted 18 months ago, was found inside a wooden box on Sunday on the rooftop of a room adjacent to his house in Sahibabad's Shamshad Garden area.
Zaid was four when he went missing on December 1, 2016 while he was playing outside his house. He was wearing his school uniform at the time. The body was spotted by his elder brother when he went to the terrace to pick up the ball and peeped inside the box and he found the body.
