4 held for stealing bag of Addl Sessions Judge

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Sunday claimed that they have arrested four people involved in stealing the bag of Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) in Okhla area on September 24.

The accused used to distract the attention of the car driver and with the help of catapult, they used to break the windowpane of the car and steal bag or purse.

Police identified the accused as Arun (25), Satvel (25), Sanju (22) and Ritik (20). They were arrested from Madangir area. All the culprits used to target cars to commit theft. They used to conduct recee on the scooty and looked for cars having a single driver and a bag on the car seat.

Police said that after picking their target, accused persons used to distract the attention of the car driver and with the help of catapult, they used to break the windowpane of the car.

Subsequently, accused persons used to swiftly steal the bag and flew.

Thereafter, accused persons used to dispose of the stolen items to the receivers and equally share the amount.

Deputy Commissioner of Police on September 24 at about 8 pm, a Judicial Officer (ASJ) was returning to her house from Okhla Industrial Area and when she reached near Red Light at Maa Anand Mai Marg, she saw that the window panes of her vehicle had been broken and her bag containing some documents was missing from the car.
