3-month-old foetus found buried in mud at RK Puram

In a gruesome incident, a 3-month-old foetus was found buried in mud in South Delhi's RK Puram area. The passerby who found the foetus immediately informed the police.

"We are still not sure if it is a female or male foetus. Only the post-mortem report would throw more light on it," said a top cop.

After sending the foetus for examination, the cops are now looking for clues to fetch more information on the accused. The locals stated that someone took the advantage of darkness and buried the foetus near the drain.

The cops are also checking with all private doctors in the area to know if someone with three months of pregnancy approached them for abortion. In their process of investigation, the cops are contacting some of the private and government hospitals.

"Still we have no clue who left it there. We are also gathering local information if someone had been seen burying the foetus," added a police officer.
