3 arrested for IPL betting, electronic devices found

The Delhi police have busted a gang of gamblers who use to bet on IPL matches and have recovered 10 mobile phones, one laptop, one LED TV and one set top box from their possession.
On Monday, the Delhi cops received secret information regarding gambling and betting on IPL matches taking place in a house in Greater Kailash-I, New Delhi.
Immediately a team comprising of SI Kishor Prasad, SI Kuldeep Singh was constituted under the supervision of Inspector Dalip Singh, SHO Greater Kailash-1.
The information was developed and a raid was conducted at that house where three people namely Manbirender Singh, Surender Singh, Monty Narula were found involved in gambling and betting on IPL matches through mobile phones, laptop, TV screen as well as keeping the record in diaries.
All three accused were arrested after a case was registered.
During the investigation, out of the recovered phones, one was connected to a call with someone who was giving the running commentary of an IPL cricketmatch between Kings eleven Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
"One laptop was recovered from their possession on which they were maintaining the records of debit and credit of their clients. Five spiral diaries have been recovered from their possession in which they were maintaining the rough record of their clients.," said DCP South East Romil Baniya.
Also, one LED TV and one Setup box have also been recovered from the accused's , the DCP added.
