2-year-old dies under mysterious circumstances

New Delhi: A 2-year-old girl died under mysterious circumstances in GTB Enclave area. Police said that before her death the minor was administered an alleged medicine by a chemist who was later arrested. According to police, the incident took place on Thursday when the girl's parent took her to a medicine shop. The chemist injected an alleged medicine to the minor. After a few minutes, her health started deteriorating and later she died. Police were alerted about the incident and after investigation, they have arrested the chemist in the case.

The further probe revealed that the girl was having a fever. "Earlier the accused had given girl's parents some medicine for their daughter's fever. When parents saw that there was no relief they took her to chemist shop," police said. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Amit Sharma said," they have arrested the accused and investigation is going on."
