2 positive cases from Faridabad, 1 in Nuh

Gurugram: There were no fresh cases of COVID-19 in the last 96 hours despite Gurugram being placed in the red zone category. A day after six cases were reported in Nuh, there was one more case that came to the fore. In total, there are now 45 cases in Nuh, that too, without any recoveries. Faridabad reported two cases.

Even as Haryana government declared four districts as red zones or the most dangerous category, the threat of COVID-19 is rising rapidly in other districts as well. On Sunday, new cases were reported from Karnal, Kurukshetra and Jind.

On Sunday, 80 samples were collected, out of which, 19 samples were collected in the government laboratories and 61 in private facilities. The results of 19 samples are awaited.

Around 1,578 samples have been sent for testing, in which, 1,527 have tested negative and 32 have been found positive. With 14 patients being discharged, the active cases in Gurugram are now 18.

"It is satisfying to know that Gurugram has seen no increase in the number of cases in the last four days. We, however, cannot take it easy because there can be a sudden spike all of a sudden. We want to tread with caution," said a senior official of the Gurugram Health department

The total number of samples that have been sent for testing in Haryana is 3,903, in which, 2,513 have been found negative and 181 cases are positive and 149 are active cases. There have been 30 patients discharged till date. Results of 502 samples are being awaited.
