2 kids reunited with their families

New Delhi: Two children were reunited with their parents by Delhi Police PCR unit on July 27.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (PCR) Shankar Choudhary said that on July 27 at about 1.03PM, the PCR staff received a call that two children were present at New Roshan Pur in Najafgarh, but unable to tell their home address.

The PCR van reached the spot and took both the children aged 6 and 8 years with them and started to trace their parental addresses.

The staff took them from street to street in New Roshan Pura in Najafgarh.

"When they reached near a school in New Roshan Pura, the younger boy identified the school and told that it is their school. The staff took them inside the school where the teacher identified them and gave their address which is Old Roshanpura in Najafgarh," said DCP PCR adding that the staff took both of them safely to their home and handed them over to their parents.

In another case, the PCR staff has also recovered two stolen cars, three stolen two-wheelers from various places across Delhi during the last 24 hours.

On July 27 at about 9 PM, the PCR staff were approached by one victim of pick-pocketing and reported regarding pick-pocketing at Vikas Marg while he was purchasing some medicines.

He further informed that the culprits were demanding Rs 10,000 on his mobile phone for returning his wallet containing Rs. 3000, ATM cards, some important documents and a pen drive.

The PCR staff told the victim to keep in conversation with the culprits and also offer to agree to their demand. When everything was set, the culprits were asked to reach nearby CR Mall for settlement. The PCR Staff was concealed for the time being.

In the meantime, one of the culprits later identified as Mohd. Shakid (19) reached there to collect the settled amount. The PCR staff overpowered him and on cursory search wallet was recovered.
