2 held in double murder case

New Delhi: Delhi Police arrested two persons involved in the double murder case in North East Delhi's Nand Nagri area.

The investigating agency revealed that the murder was the result of old enmity reported a few years back. Police identified the accused as Lokesh (39) and Ankur Malik (25) both have criminal records.

Police claimed that in the intervening night of 01-02 July, the team of North East district acting on secret information they were arrested.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Atul Thakur said that on June 14, at around 12 pm, near Char Khamba Red Light, Nand Nagri, a firing incident was reported in which two persons in a car were killed by unknown assailants.

Later, one of the deceased was identified as Khurvesh of Nand Nagri.

"The CCTV footages of the area were collected and the accused were identified as Lokesh and Ankur," said DCP North East.
