17-yr-old shoots self to death in Bindapur
New Delhi: A 17-year-old boy allegedly shot himself to death in Bindapur area of Dwarka district on Sunday, with police stating his body had a gunshot wound.
According to police, a PCR call was made by Aakash Hospital regarding the admission of one Gulshan, a resident of Matiala, at 6.18 am.
At the hospital, the injured was declared brought dead and his body bore a gunshot wound as well as black residue, suggesting he was shot himself from a very close range.
"On searching the pocket of the deceased, four live cartridges of .765 mm were recovered The father informed the hospital that the deceased had shot himself," said police.
Police further said that according to the boy's father, he was angry with his sister over the issue of a mobile phone, which he had broken, after which he had left home.
"The father of deceased stated that the boy arrived in the morning, rang the doorbell and shot himself. When he opened the door, he found him with the injury and lying there," said police adding that as per evidence, it is suicide.
