15 oxen found dead

New Delhi: 15 oxen were found dead inside the container in South West Delhi's Vasant Kunj area.

Police have registered a case in this regard and investigation is going on. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Devender Arya claimed that the incident came to light after they received a PCR call in Vasant Kunj South police station. The caller told the police that a container is parked on NH 8 near link road from which a foul smell is spreading around.

"On checking it was found that 15 oxen were dead in the container. A case under section 429 IPC was registered at PS Vasant Kunj South and investigation was taken up. The dead have been sent to veterinary hospital Masoodpur," added the DCP.

Police did not find driver and conductor. Through the vehicle number, they are trying to identify the owner.
