12 test +ve in Gurugram, total 32; 7 in Faridabad

Gurugram: Twelve fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported from Gurugram on Wednesday. This the highest number of cases reported from Gurugram in a single day.

Among the infected, there are 10 persons who belong from Himachal Pradesh and were Tablighi Jamaat attendees and were residing in Village Raipur in Sohna. The other two cases have been reported from Pataudi.

With these 12 cases, the tally in Gurugram has increased to 32. With nine patients being discharged, there are 23 active cases. By Wednesday, reports also came in which said that a 65-year-old person who had symptoms of COVID-19 died due to the disease. It has however not been officially approved, and as per the district administration officials, the cause of death was cardiac arrest.

The total samples that have been sent for testing in Gurugram till date is 1,061, in which 999 samples have tested negative and 32 samples have been positive.

The total number of samples that have been sent for testing in Haryana is 2,650, in which 1885 have been found negative and 153 cases are positive and 133 are active cases. Around 18 patients have been discharged till date and results of 612 samples are still being awaited.

In Faridabad, seven new cases have been reported.
