10th result: 6 of 13 all India toppers from Noida, Gzb

As many as 27 lakh students appeared for CBSE class 10 exam in 2019

Noida/Ghaziabad: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on Monday, declared results of class X with six out of 13 all India toppers are from various schools of Noida and Ghaziabad. These students have scored 499 out of 500 marks.

The list of joint-toppers from Noida and Ghaziabad included Siddhant Pengoriya, from Lotus Valley International school in Noida, Divyansh Wadhwa from Bal Bharti Public School and Shivani Lath from Mayoor school in sector 126 of Noida. In Ghaziabad, three students emerged as joint-toppers who are Ankur Mishra of SAJ School in Vasundhara, Ish Madan of Chhabil Dass Public School and Apporva Jain of Uttam Public School in Ghaziabad.

Speaking with Millennium Post Siddhant Pengoriya said that being consistent and not taking a much pressure was his mantra behind the success.

"I am very excited as I didn't expect to be one among the list of country's toppers. I used to play sports daily and focus on regular studies without any tuitions. I focused on what my teachers taught in class and make a thorough revision. I want to thank my parents and teachers who have supported me throughout and didn't pressurise me for studies," Siddhant said. Siddhant further said that he has now decided to pursue commerce with maths from the same school while his inclination was towards being a lawyer.

Siddhant lost one mark in English subject in which he scored 99 out of 100 while in all the other subjects he has secured 100 marks.

"Yes, I am a bit disappointed as I lost one mark in English but that might be due to story or creative writing," added Siddhant. Siddhant's father is a chartered accountant while his mother is a housewife.

The total pass percentage in CBSE Class 10 exams is 91.1 percent.

As many as 27 lakh students appeared for the exam in 2019. 13 students emerged as joint all India toppers while Twenty five students bagged the second rank in with 498 marks.

The third position in the CBSE Class 10 examination went to 59 students, who secured 497 out of 500 marks in the CBSE Class 10 Board examination.

Shivani Lath, national girl topper from Mayoor School of Noida said, "I have opted for Commerce with Maths for my senior secondary classes. I will then apply for CA exams and once I clear them I hope to appear for UPSC examinations and become an IAS officer.
