10-yr-old boy raped by four older boys in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: A 10-year-old was allegedly raped by four older boys, residing in the same village as him, in Dankaur area of Greater Noida, police said on Sunday.

Senior officials added that the victim, a Class IV student, was raped several times in the past ten days and given death threats.

As per a complaint received by police, the matter came to light when the minor complained of an infection in his private parts to his school.

Upon consulting a nearby doctor, who suspected something wrong had been done with the child, he alerted the parents and advised them to look over the child.

"After consulting the doctor, we enquired our child, upon which he told us that four boys of the same village have been repeatedly sexually abusing and raping him for the past many days," the police complaint filed by the boy's father stated.

"The four boys first became friends with him and used to take him to a secluded farm, where they sexually abused him" the complaint further stated.

It also said that the four accused allegedly tried to drown him in a water tank, but when they saw someone coming towards them, they fled away.

Later, they warned the minor boy not to tell anyone if he wished to stay alive.

Upon listening to his son's ordeal, the father, on Saturday, lodged a complaint against the four boys, whose names he knew, at Dankaur police station.

"Based on the complaint received from the victim's father, we have registered a case under relevant sections of the Protection of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and the IPC. The matter is being investigated and action will be taken against those found at fault," said Farmood Ali Pundeer, station house officer, Dankaur police station.
