New Delhi: Ten police personnel are facing the heat after the district vigilance team found illicit liquor and drugs supply in Dwarka district, with sources claiming that two cops have been suspended and while eight have been sent to the District Line.

Police sources told Millennium Post that during a district-level committee meeting, complaints were received of drugs and illicit liquor being sold widely in JJ Colony of Bindapur and Dwarka Sector-1, which fall under the jurisdiction of Dabri and Dwarka police stations, respectively.

"Taking prompt action, DCP Dwarka directed the district vigilance team to conduct a secret inquiry and found the complaint to be true," said the source.

Accordingly, a head constable from Dabri and a constable from Dwarka South police stations have been suspended, while eight police personnel of various ranks from these two police stations were sent to District Line.
