Delhi woman drowns kids, kills herself

In a horrifying incident, a 30-year-old woman allegedly killed her two minor children, of whom one was mentally challenged and physically impaired, by drowning them and later committed suicide by hanging herself in east Delhi over a tiff with her husband on the way to celebrate their child’s birthday.
The incident is believed to have taken place on Wednesday afternoon at around 2:30 pm in Mandawali area of east Delhi. According to the police, the husband, identified as Devender Yadav (32), a textile designer in an export company in Patparganj Industrial Area first got the know of the incident and informed his neighbour Hira Lal Saket, who in turn made a call to police control room.
‘A team of police reached the crime spot and a forensic team also visited the place. The bodies were taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital where doctors pronounced all three dead on arrival,’ the official said.
