Delhi Tourism’s calendar and diary launched

In an attempt to make Delhi and its features accessible to people, Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister, government of Delhi launched the Calendar and Diary of the year 2016, brought out by Delhi Tourism & Transportation Development Corporation at Delhi Secretariat on Monday. 

Manish Sisodia, Deputy CM; Kapil Mishra, Minister for Tourism, government of Delhi; Keshav Chandra, chairman, Delhi Tourism and Soumya Gupta, MD and CEO, DTTDC and other senior officials of DTTDC and Delhi government were also present on the occasion.

Delhi Tourism (DTTDC) has been bringing out calendar and diaries every year with a theme. 

This year’s theme has been kept – ‘The Spirit of Delhi’ which strives to present its glorious past and magnificent present to portray the ancient and modern blend of the city and the responsibility the city takes in realising the dreams of people from different walks of life. It also displays the streets, cuisines and cultural diversity of the national Capital. 

The Diary features  facts regarding monuments, haunted places in city, regarding various modes of transportation in Delhi, historical importance associated to different monuments, food of Delhi, different kinds of languages and slangs used.

It consists of two stickers of Qutub Minar and India Gate and also consists of two maps. This will enable the user to get acquainted with the facts related to Delhi, and thus impart information related to the rich heritage, various Indian delicacies and other things.
