Delhi Technological University on cloud nine

Adding another feather to it’s cap, Delhi Technological University [DTU], formerly called Delhi College of Engineering, has yet again been ranked among the top 10 engineering institutions of the country.

DTU has been ranked ninth in the recent Outlook-MDRA survey 2012 of ‘Top 50 engineering colleges’. In the same survey, DTU stands at the eight position in the list of top 10 government engineering colleges, which include IITs.

The eight institutions ahead of DTU in this year’s overall ranking include the IITs of Delhi, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Bombay, Madras, Guwahati and Varanasi, and BITS Pilani. The survey also places DTU at first position in the ‘return on investment’ category and at fourth position in terms of placements. DTU has thus emerged the best value for money for quality technical education and innovations, as per the survey.

According to the DTU official, ‘The proactive support provided by P B Sharma, Vice Chancellor of DTU, and expert guidance provided by the faculty members enable students to pursue high quality research and innovations.’

Feeling immensely happy over the rank of DTU, Sharma said, ‘The focus of the institute has always been curriculum innovations, strong industry partnership and seamless integration of science and engineering. Its research and innovations have been aligned to industry needs thus attracting the global leading brands to collaborate with DTU for cutting-edge research and development.’
