DELHI SIZZLES AT 40 degree C

Delhiites on Monday reeled under hot and dry weather conditions as maximum temperature in the national Capital settled at 40.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius, seven notches above the season’s average, said a Met department official.
At the Palam observatory, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.2 degrees Celsius while Lodhi Road, Ridge, Ayanagar recorded 40.4, 41.9 and 40.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
The humidity level in air remained on the lower side and oscillated between 48 and 21 per cent.
The Met office predicted partly cloudy skies for Tuesday. “The skies will be partly cloudy with dusty haze in the morning and evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 40 and 26 degrees Celsius,” the weatherman said.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 29.8 degrees Celsius.
