Delhi Police rejig DCPs and Additional DCPs

In a major reshuffle in the Delhi Police, nine IPS officers of the ranks of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Adl DCP) have been transferred. Two Addl DCP’s have been promoted to the rank of DCPs, others have been transferred to other units such as Security and Traffic.

In an order issued by the LG dated September 24, IPS officers of the 2005 batch have been transferred to other units. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Central district, Parmaditya has been transferred and will now serve as DCP (Security). In place of Parmaditya, 2006 IPS officer, Mandeep Singh Randhawa, who was working as DCP of the South-east district will now look after as the DCP of Central District.

Additional DCP 1 of the New Delhi district Romil Baniya has been promoted and will now serve as the DCP of South-east district. Similarly, Vijay Singh, who was serving as the DCP of the North-west district has been transferred and will now serve as DCP (Traffic). In place of Vijay Singh, Dumbere Milind Mahadeo, who was serving as DCP (Railways) will now serve as the DCP of the North-west district. Vikramjit Singh, 2006 IPS officer who was serving as the DCP of Outer district has been transferred and will report to police headquarters till next orders. 

In place of Vikramjit Singh, M N Tiwari, who has been serving as the DCP of the Security unit will now serve as the DCP of Outer district. Likewise, Vijay Kumar, serving as the DCP (Traffic) has been transferred and will serve as the DCP of West district. Pushpendra Kumar who has serving as the DCP of West will now serve as DCP in the Security unit.
