Delhi: Police constable and 2 criminals injured in shootout in Rohini

A police constable was also injured in the gunfight with the men identified as Veer aka Kala and his associate Abhay, the officer said. The gunfight took place at 10.15am, Vikramjit Singh said.

“The Sultanpuri police had information that some criminals will come to target a property dealer… We had information… that they will be in a white colour swift car. We identified the car and tried to stop it. As soon as they realised they have been cornered, they started firing at our team,” deputy commissioner of police Vikramjeet Singh said.

“They fired from inside the car. One criminal got out of the car and was trying to escape and then our team fired at them. Two of them have been injured,” Singh added.

The injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital. The police arrested five other members of the gang.
