In order to spread awareness about road safety among school children, the Delhi traffic police has asked the education department to issue directives to start Road Safety Clubs in schools.
Delhi traffic police wants the Education department to pay special attention to government school students and has thereby asked schools to appoint a Road Safety Coordinator to sensitise students to curb underage driving. ‘At present, there are 350 schools as Road Safety Club members and we are striving to enrol more’, said an officer.
