Delhi police busts IPL betting racket, 4 held

With the arrest of four persons, the crime branch of Delhi police have claimed to bust an organised betting racket of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and recovered Rs 45,500 stake money from Uttam Nagar on Saturday.
According to the additional commissioner of police (crime branch), Ravindra Yadav, the accused have been identified as Rajinder Kumar (39), Ravi Bellan (30), Vinay Kumar (38) and Ajay Arora (28). On Saturday, a team of crime branch officials received information that Rajinder would organise a cricket betting at his house in the Uttam Nagar area of west Delhi and he will be organising a ‘Satta’ during Saturday’s match between ‘Mumbai Indians’ and ‘Pune Warriors’.
A dedicated team was formed which raided the house and arrested the accused red-handed.
