Delhi police has promised to conduct a fast track enquiry against its personnel accused of not helping the family of the five-year-old rape victim and offering them money to hush up the matter, even as a special court will be hearing the case at the same time.
Police made these promises in a pamphlet distributed among protesters outside its headquarters demanding the removal of city police commissioner Neeraj Kumar in connection with the rape of the girl allegedly by a 22-year-old man in a building in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar area on 15 April.
Assuring speedy justice for the victim, police said the accused will be tried in a fast track court.
'The matter will be put on fast track court so that we can have a quick decision and the culprit is punished,' the pamphlet said.
