Delhi-NCR police chalk out special plans to ensure smooth passage for Kanwarias

To ensure placid movement of vehicles and kanwarias’ during the Kanwar yatra in Delhi, NCR, and UP, Delhi police have decided to put few traffic restrictions from July 25 to August 1. The police of concerned areas have also announced of keeping a close watch on the movement of the anti-social elements in Kanwarias’ attire so that no untoward incident takes place. Safety and security of female Kanwarias’ will be ensured, claimed police.
Delhi traffic police informed that the routes -Apsara Border , Shahdara flyover ,Seelampur ‘T’ point ,ISBT Flyover, Boulevard Road, Rani Jhansi Road , Faiz Road, Vande Matram Marg, Dhaula Kuan, NH-8 and exit from Rajokri Border to enter Haryana, Bhopra Border, Wazirabad Road, Loni Flyover, Gokulpuri ‘T’ point, 66 Foota Road, Seelampur ‘T’ Point, NH-1 and further towards new ISBT Bridge, Maharajpur Border - Road no 56, Ghazipur Border, NH-24, Ring Road, Mathura Road and exit from Badarpur Border to enter Haryana and Kalindi Kunj, Mathura Road and Badarpur Border will have special traffic arrangements.
As per the plan, HTVs will be diverted by the UP Police from Mohan Nagar towards NH-24 and no such vehicle will be allowed towards Wazirabad Road via Bhopra Border or towards GT Road via Apsara Border. Heavy commercial transport vehicles, except for city buses, coming from GT Karnal Road at Outer Ring Road will be diverted straight towards NH-24 and will not be allowed to go towards Wazirabad Road and G.T. Road towards Shahdara. Other such vehicles coming from Loni Road (Shahdara side) will be diverted on Wazirabad Road to exit from Outer Ring Road. Others coming from internal areas like Sonia Vihar, PTS Wazirabad Pushta, Pushta Road will be diverted towards Outer Ring Road via Wazirabad Road to take NH-24.
As far as Noida is concerned, heavy vehicles coming from Badarpur border via Kalindi Kunj will be diverted to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway for the onward journey towards Bulandshahar or Muradabad. They will travel via Greater Noida, Kasna, Shayamnagar Mandi and Sikandarabad, bypassing the National Highway (NH) 24 near Ghaziabad, to reach their destination.
