Delhi Metro: Another MMS clip with couple in compromising position goes viral

A latest MMS clip of a young couple indulging in sexual activity around the Metro station has once again raised a serious controversy about love birds misusing Delhi Metro for obscene acts. Earlier in 2013, Millennium Post had reported about the earlier MMS incident which was brought to light with the help of footage from CCTV cameras installed inside Metro stations.

Like the Delhi Metro MMS scandal that went viral on YouTube and other pornographic websites, this time also the MMS which was allegedly shot by someone using mobile phone went viral. This time the MMS is viral on WhatsApp. Surprisingly, the DMRC officials are aware about this MMS and claimed it as an old video.

There are no CCTV cameras to monitor the acts outside the Metro stations, despite the property belonging to Delhi Metro. Also, no security guards could be seen nearby who could have opposed such acts. Likewise, couples are often seen sitting on the staircase of Metro stations, at the platform and skipping Metro trains in order to spend time with each other. This often hinders the entry/exit of the commuters. When CISF officials try to intervene, they object and allege that the officials were intervening in their personal life.

The 1 minute 35 second video, which is in possession of Millennium Post, shows a young couple in obscene positions at the back of the exit/entry point of an underground Metro. The video was shot in broad daylight by an unknown person and later the MMS showing the faces of both the boy and the girl was made viral.

Speaking to Millennium Post, a spokesperson of DMRC said: “We are very much aware about this MMS. But the area does not fall under DMRC.” However, CISF officials claimed that the constructed area near the Metro station comes under DMRC. There are 160 Metro stations out of which more than 60 are underground.

“In some of the stations, the CCTV cameras have been installed. Due to staff crunch we are not able to keep a proper vigil at the areas outside the Metro station staircase as that is DMRC property,” said a senior CISF official, requesting anonymity.
