Lone JD(U) MLA in Delhi assembly Shoaib Iqbal on Friday expressed his willingness to join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) but Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the party is yet to take a call on this.
‘I met the chief minister and expressed my willingness to join the party. I have received a positive response and I may join the party in the next two days. Since I am a lone JD(U) MLA, there should not be a problem in joining the party as it would not invite disqualification under the anti-defection law,’ he said.
Iqbal, who represents Matia Mahal, added ‘BJP is communal and we must stop Narendra Modi from becoming the Prime Minister and Congress is corrupt. The only hope is Aam Aadmi Party.’
