The Jat agitation in Haryana that affected water supply from Munak Canal to Delhi and resulted in a serious water crisis in the city on Monday also caused problems in the government hospitals and its dispensaries.
Responding to Millennium Post, an official from the dispensaries unit said: “Most of our 43 dispensaries at the Central district were provided with water tankers as there was no supply.” The official also said that the patients who visited understood the situation and cooperated with the staff.
The official said that on their part they have asked the dispensaries that in such time of emergency they must share the water and use it judiciously.
The official said that even though there was shortage of tankers, there was supply of RO water.
Though the doctors at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital expressed satisfaction at the supply of water, the staff of Ambedkar Hospital, Rohini said there was disruptive supply of water and in many departments there was no water at all.
With water supply from the Munak to Delhi restored, the official said by Tuesday morning there will be an improvement in the situation.
