Delhi HC reserves verdict on PIL quashing of CAG appointment

The Delhi high court on Thursday reserved its verdict on a PIL seeking quashing of Shashi Kant Sharma’s appointment as Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) on grounds of conflict of interest. A division bench of justices B D Ahmed and Vibhu Bakhru reserved the judgement after hearing arguments from all the parties in the case. The PIL sought the court to issue an order for framing of a ‘transparent selection procedure based on a definite criteria for the appointment of Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
