Delhi has highest growth rate in India: Dikshit

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday said Delhi has achieved a growth rate of 11 per cent, which is the highest in the country. Dikshit expressed these views in a function organised to open the 102 Jeevan Centre of Delhi at Saket. Dikshit said, ‘The growth rate has become possible due to the pro-active approach and people-oriented policies. Further, the response of the people in availing the benefits has been encouraging. The city continues to be the centre of attraction for all Indians as the capital city has enormous employment opportunities.’

Delhi assembly speaker Yoganand Shastri and IT secretary Rajender Kumar were also present on the occasion.

The chief minister said that Congress ruled Delhi government has made the lives of people easy and comfortable by establishing Jeevan Centres.

Dikshit said Jeevan Cenres have become life line of Delhi as it has been facilitating citizens in payment of various bills, obtaining application forms and their submission and use of websites at convenient places.
