With an aim to facilitate a hassle-free procurement of certain certificates needed for school admissions, Delhi government on Monday launched a pilot project to eliminate the need of visiting the district magistrate’s office.
“This was urgently needed and the scheme will help students and their parents from unnecessary hassles in securing certificate. It was decided to train one teacher/IT person from each school in various aspects of e-district project which are already functioning successfully in Delhi,” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said at the launch.
“After this training they can receive the application from parents/students at school. It is envisaged that these trained officials will act in the school as an extension of District Magistrate Office.
“They will help the students in obtaining various types of certificates at school level without visiting the office of DM. They can even help the teachers and staff of the school in obtaining these certificates issued by the district authorities,” he added.
In case of any clarification, the designated school staff may contact the nodal officers of DM’s office, who will guide and advice the school staff on the smooth implementation of this scheme.
